We had a great time at Panera this morning! Over coffee and treats, we chatted about our successes of 2008, and our goals for 2009, mainly creating some type of publication. After some research on printing options, we’ll get started on selecting pieces for print. This will be exciting!
We also had fun “swapping books” during a get-to-know-you game. We learned that:
*Dave and Lydia both have an “evil stare” they give their children.
*Richard and Lisa G, share a (growing) appreciation for Barack Obama
*Lisa G. and Dave both traveled to Spain.
*Lisa Damian Kidder and Jerry hate that annoying ding that sounds when the car seatbelt is not clicked
And many other interesting tidbits! Thanks to all who attended, and sorry we missed those of you who could not come.
Next meeting is Jan. 29, with a Blurb workshop to be set in early/mid- January by Liz. Keep watching the blog/e-mail. Other fun 2009 workshops may include a trip to a poetry slam at a bar in Chicago for National Poetry Month in April. It will be another fun year.
Happy Holidays to all of you! This is a great group, and I am so happy to be a part of it!
